Rookie Richard Hamilton was placed on the injured list Thursday with a sprained right pinky finger. Hamilton, who suffered the injury in practice on Wednesday, is averaging 8.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. The Wizards activated rookie guard Laron Profit to take Hamilton's spot on the roster. Profit had been on the injured list with tendinitis in his left knee. ... The Wizards will host the 2001 NBA All-Star game at the MCI center in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post is reporting that the league has chosen to hold the game at the two-year-old building. Last summer, the MCI Center hosted the NBA draft. The All-Star Game will be the first for the franchise since the Bullets hosted the 1980 contest at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland and the 1969 game in Baltimore...
